My fitness routine began in a tiny club near Sportstraat 12 in Amsterdam. It wasn't flawless, yet it was affordable and approachable, helping me stay consistent.
When that place shut, I saw how fast the fitness scene in Netherlands was changing. New clubs opened, fresh concepts emerged, and marketing often outpaced real member experience.
I began trying different gyms and classes, jotting down notes after each visit. Those notes gradually grew into this website to help others make clearer choices.
My Approach to Reviews
Each review here reflects genuine visits and time spent inside facilities. I emphasize practical details that matter when selecting a membership.
When I review a fitness center, I typically:
- Allocate enough time to grasp routines, peak periods, and patterns
- Go on various days and at different times
- Experience multiple training formats and trainers
- Regularly use the amenities to assess cleanliness and comfort
- Ask other members about what stays constant and what changes
- Take notes right after each visit
I revise reviews when major changes occur—renovations, leadership shifts, price changes, or new facilities. Each article displays the last update date so you can gauge how current it is.
What I Look For
